"Hatsume (は っ め)" is a seasonal word for the New Year, referring to the act of reflecting on the year that has passed for the first time after the change of the year.
We use a blend of first and second harvest leaves from Uji, Kyoto to create the powdered tea.
Stone-ground to ensure consistency and the finest texture, Hatsume is mainly used for matcha lattes and practice tea for tea ceremonies.
